The Association of Caribbean Social Work Educators (ACSWE) is compelled to denounce the racially motivated attacks that are occurring against the Black community in the United States. The most recent incidents are part of a pattern of violence meted out to people of colour and other marginalised groups in that country and elsewhere. The Association of Caribbean Social Work Educators (ACSWE) has announced the 13th Conference of Caribbean and International Social Work Educators scheduled to take place in Jamaica at the University of the West Indies (UWI) Mona Campus between June 26 – 30, 2017. The last conference was held in Grenada in July 2015. Other conferences have been held from the Bahamas in the North to Guyana in South.
