Expressions of Interest in hosting the 14th Biennial Conference on behalf of the Association of Caribbean Social Work Educators are invited from higher education institutions offering undergraduate and/or graduate social work education or consortia including representatives of such institutions. Previous conferences have been held across the Caribbean, from the Bahamas in the north to Guyana in South. Two conferences (2011 and 2013) have been held outside of the English-speaking Caribbean (Martinique and Curacao). The ACSWE also welcomes expressions of interest from institutions outside the region that serve the Caribbean diaspora.
Hosting the Biennial conference requires financial and institutional support for the staging of the conference. There is proposed timetable of actions to be taken, and the ACSWE has developed the template for a Memorandum of Understanding to guide the collaborative process between partners.
The Co-host may enter into approved arrangements with other institutions and agencies to accomplish the various goals. The ACSWE Executive usually takes responsibility for managing the receipt and review of abstracts and works in consultation with the local organizing committee to plan the academic and cultural programmes.
